Measure how much testosterone is available in your body. Testosterone regulates libido, bone mass, fat, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm. Test #873

TEST PREPARATION: *Do not participate in vigorous exercise and activities that stimulate or “jostle” the prostate, such as bike riding, motorcycling, and riding a horse, ATV, or tractor. Do not participate in sexual activity that involves ejaculation for 48 hours before your test.
Dietary supplements containing biotin may interfere in assays and may skew results to be either falsely high or falsely low. If you are taking biotin wait at least 8 hours following the last biotin supplementation. For patients on mega-doses of biotin supplements, draw samples at least 72 hours following the last biotin supplementation.
